A James River Armory Gallant — a semi-automatic Galil built on a new U.S.-made billet receiver around original Israeli IMI parts. New 18″ U.S. barrel with a 1:7 twist and the Galil compensator, original wood forend and wood pistol grip, steel side-folding stock, the original Galil safety lever and sight system, and Israeli markings on the receiver.
What makes this one worth a second look is the bipod. JRA shipped the Gallant without one — the factory gun would take an original Galil bipod but did not include it, and those bipods trade on their own for real money. This rifle wears one, which puts it in the full ARM configuration instead of the plain rifle.
On availability: JRA is no longer producing the Gallant. Atlantic Firearms and Classic Firearms are both out of stock, and as of this writing there is not a single complete Gallant listed on GunBroker — only parts.
