An unfired Marlin 1895 Dark Series in .45-70 — the original hardwood-stocked version, not the current polymer one. Black-webbed hardwood over matte parkerized, 16.25″ barrel threaded 11/16x24, big loop lever with paracord wrap, factory XS Lever Rail with ghost ring peep. Remington-plant build with the MR serial — Ruger discontinued this configuration, so used is the only way to get one. Never had a round through it.
