A Ruger PC Carbine, model 19116, in 9mm with the 16.12″ barrel. Takedown design — twist it apart and it fits in a backpack. Interchangeable magazine wells let it feed Ruger SR-Series and Security-9 magazines or Glock magazines, so it can share ammunition and magazines with a pistol you already own. Dead-simple blowback action, very soft shooting, and about as practical as a pistol-caliber carbine gets.
